I’ve officially made it into an extremely important club as a military wife. The name of the club you ask? Why it’s the “I Can Cut My Husband’s Hair” club of course! It doesn’t seem like such a big deal, but trust me, when you have to start fading in a haircut, it’s a big deal!
Before the husband left for OCS, I gave it a go…it didn’t end well. You know you’re doomed when, in the middle of the haircut, the word “oops” comes out of your mouth. Good thing he was going to a place where they were just going to buzz it all down anyway. This time around, that wasn’t the case. To really “understand” how it was done, we went over to the guys’ house and watched the “professional” do it. I’d say the husband’s hair turned out great for it being my first time (we’re not counting last January…).
This weekend we also had two of our couple friends over for dinner. I love it when they come over to hang out with us. It’s always a lot of fun and laughter (plus, my house is clean for days)! One of the couples is moving at the beginning of February to continue flight training in Texas. We are definitely going to miss hanging out with them. We are going to enjoy the time we have with them now though, and hope our paths cross in the future! I suppose it’ll be the first of many “see ya laters” with the military. Thank goodness for cell phones and Facebook!
