The husband graduated API today! I don’t have any pictures from his “graduation” because I didn’t go. It was more a of a “here’s this piece of paper saying you can move on” kind of thing. Regardless of how big of a deal it really wasn’t, I’m still very proud that he is on to the next phase. After graduation, he came home to change uniforms (no flight suit for a little bit), and then headed to check in at Whiting Field to begin all of the paperwork for Primary. I’ll have to update more about what goes on in Primary later on since the husband is currently sleeping…
Since I haven’t posted about last weekend yet (is it seriously already Wednesday?!), here is a recap of what went down:
On Saturday, we had some new friends over for dinner and had so much fun! I was lucky enough to have an old high school friend introduce me to another spouse, who also has a husband going through flight school. We’d hung out a couple of times at the Barre fitness classes, and decided it was time to meet up outside of exercising! I’m so glad we did! Her and her husband are some of the nicest, funniest, most down-to-earth people, and we are definitely excited about hanging out with them more in the future!
On Sunday, we decided to go bowling. We’d been meaning to go for awhile now and finally got around to going. On the first frame, I got a strike! I’m really no good at bowling, and it’s kind of a big deal if I even break 100 (I didn’t…), so when I got a strike on my first go, I thought, by some miracle, I’d gotten good at bowling! Yeah, no. It was a fluke. I believe it was my only strike the whole time we were there. Is it okay to blame the bowling ball? I’m pretty sure that’s where the problem was…
After bowling, I started thinking about some of the other stuff we’ve been wanting to do, and decided the husband and I need to make a bucket list of things we want do while we are here in Florida (he was kind enough to entertain the idea for me). I love the idea of making one every time we move somewhere new, so that we get the full experience, and make sure we get to do everything we really want to do. I’m really excited to sit down tomorrow night and make it! Once it’s made, I’ll share some of it (or all of it) with you!
