Remember when I made my New Year’s Resolution to bake something new every week in 2020? No? Well you can read about it here, and then you can disregard that…I failed miserably. Whew- now that I’ve got that off my chest, the real reason I hopped on my little slice of the internet was to share with you the pictures I took this year on Father’s Day!
This year I decided I want to make it a tradition to take Father’s Day pictures each year that we are able to. What better way to watch them grow together (plus, who can resist matching outfits??)! We were able to take them on the husband’s first Father’s Day, but had to skip last year due to deployment. Being able to do a photoshoot 2 of the 3 years the husband has been a father so far isn’t a bad record for a military family!
Y’all, watching the husband be a father to Hudson is one of the best things ever. I love watching them play and laugh together! A lot of these pictures represent what I see every day between the two of them. The love and adoration are so present and it makes my heart melt!
The husband is the one who can get the deepest belly laughs out of Hudson and the one who elicits the biggest smile. He’s the one who helps adventures come alive and the one who saves the day when a rock is “dropped” (i.e. thrown) into the water. He’s the one who lets Hudson push the limits of possibilities and the one who keeps him safe while he does so. He’s the perfect “Dada” to Hudson and we couldn’t possibly love him any more than we already do!
