Hudson is 2! What?! I know everyone always warns you about how fast they grow up, but seriously, I’m in awe of JUST how fast it happens. It seems like we were just bringing him home from the hospital and getting adjusted to life as a family of 3. He’s quite honestly the center of our world and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Since it’s his birthday, I decided I’d do a blog post all about who he is right now and what I love about him. I know when he’s grown, I will cherish these kinds of posts so much!
Hudson is an outdoorsy boy through and through. If we can be outside exploring and playing, we usually are! Around these parts, that means we’ve had our fair share of ant bites, but that hasn’t stopped us! Hudson also adores anything and everything to do with water (which hasn’t been the best with his currently fractured leg).
Hudson is a lover of all things helicopters, planes, trucks, and cars! He’s getting quite a collection and plays with them all the time! We don’t watch a lot of TV, but when we do, you can bet we’re watching Cars (1, 2, or 3- he doesn’t discriminate).
Ever since he was little, Hudson has loved reading and will now sit and “read” to himself. He’s a smart little guy who picks up words so fast! He’s already putting together 2-3 word sentences (my favorite is, “Where are you?”) and knows 8 colors! I’m constantly amazed at just how much he picks up and how much he knows!
So what do I love about Hudson? Well, pretty much everything, but here are just a couple of things! I love the way he says certain words, the way he repeats things, and the way he whispers, “Love you.” I love how polite he is, even when he’s upset. I love the way he cuddles in and the way he grabs my face when he gives me kisses (or as he loves to say “besos”). I love the way he gives me a hug when he wakes up, then says, “Other side!” to make sure I get two hugs (one on the left and one on the right). I love how friendly he is to others and the way he waves and shouts, “Hi!!!” to everyone. I love the way he laughs (even his fake laughs) and the way he loves to joke. I also love the way he loves to be scared and the way he counts, “1,2,3!” before you scare him.
Obviously there’s other stuff I love about him (like how much he adores his daddy), but I think that would take too long to type out, so for now, I’ll leave you with he’s just really loved! Happy birthday, sweet Hudson!
