We were only a month late, but we finally got around to taking Hudson’s 2 year pictures! When Hudson fractured his leg at the beginning of February, we were optimistic that he’d have his cast off by his birthday (the original time in the cast was suppose to be 3 weeks). 3 weeks turned in to 4, which turned in to 6. Since it took Hudson a bit to get use to walking without a cast, we held off on his 2 year pictures (we knew we wanted him to wear the cowboy boots his great aunt got him for Christmas).
With everything going on with the Coronavirus right now, we picked a location with no one around. It worked out well since it’s where I originally wanted to take them anyway. Hudson was on fire with his faces and poses that evening and I’m more than pleased with how his pictures turned out!
When Mom and Dad had the photography business, they purchased a red cowboy hat, that was then given to me to use for Hudson. While the pictures with that hat are beyond adorable, I’m pretty partial to the ones of Hudson wearing the husband’s cowboy hat!
I told the husband before we left the house that I wanted to get a few of them together and I can’t wait to print them out to hang up in our home! I’m pretty thankful I have a husband who doesn’t mind when I want to take his picture. He even had an idea or two up his sleeve… (see the next photo)
I won’t lie, Hudson did a pretty great job of cooperating on his own (it’s not TOO hard when Mama takes all the candid photos), but we did have to bribe him with “bears” (gummy bears) for a bit to get him to stand in the general area we wanted, or to wear the hat. I’m pretty happy with how my vision for this shoot came to life and I’m already planning a couple of other future shoots with him!
