I was originally going to write a post about the amazing time I had while my family was visiting us, but I decided to just leave you with some pictures from our vacation, instead of trying to go through everything we did. We packed a lot of activities into two weeks, and as much as I’d love to type it all out (and as much as I’m sure you want to read all the details), I’ll just leave it at it was one of the best vacations I’ve ever had, and let the pictures speak for themselves!
Speed Jeans & Survival Vests
Last night was a blast y’all! I had the opportunity to go to the Student Spouse Orientation for VT-6, where I got to learn all about what the husband does each day, and do some of the stuff he does!
My Garden
A couple months ago, I decided I wanted to plant some flowers outside. Since we don’t actually own the house we are staying in, I didn’t want to plant flowers in a garden out back (goals for when we actually own a house-see 20 years from now), so I settled for planting them in pots.
Friendship
One of the challenges of being a military wife is making new friends when you arrive at a new duty station. It’s so hard sometimes to even know where to begin to look for friends. I am so thankful for the internet and for groups like SOSA. It’s because of these things that I have been able to meet some very wonderful women here in Florida, and I feel beyond blessed.
Weekend Fun
This past weekend was so much fun y’all! I’m going to start with Thursday night, because if we are being honest, it was basically already the weekend for me. Thursday night, some of the ladies and I in VT-6 “moo’d” the new COW’s (Commanding Officer’s Wife) house with cow decorations! It was a blast, and I can only imagine how amazing she looked driving around in her COW decorated van (see pictures below)!
