April, you’re here again (and now almost over) and like every year, you represent something so meaningful in my life, not just for me, but for my child as well. Month of the Military Child. I’ve written a couple of blog posts about it (you can read them here and here), but this year feels a little different.
My Cowboy
We were only a month late, but we finally got around to taking Hudson’s 2 year pictures! When Hudson fractured his leg at the beginning of February, we were optimistic that he’d have his cast off by his birthday (the original time in the cast was suppose to be 3 weeks). 3 weeks turned in to 4, which turned in to 6. Since it took Hudson a bit to get use to walking without a cast, we held off on his 2 year pictures (we knew we wanted him to wear the cowboy boots his great aunt got him for Christmas).
Happy Birthday, Hudson!
Hudson is 2! What?! I know everyone always warns you about how fast they grow up, but seriously, I’m in awe of JUST how fast it happens. It seems like we were just bringing him home from the hospital and getting adjusted to life as a family of 3. He’s quite honestly the center of our world and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
2020 Resolution
We’ve been in 2020 for a couple of weeks now, so I thought it would be a good time to do a quick recap of my resolution for 2019 AND share with you what my 2020 resolution is going to be!
Honeymoon
Y’all, we did it! We finally went on our honeymoon…5 years later. I’m sure other military spouses can attest to the fact that it’s hard to take vacations when your spouse has what seems like a 24/7 job.
*Some of the pictures throughout this blog post were taken by my talented husband!*
