With the new year so close to ringing in, I started thinking about my New Year’s resolutions and decided to do something a little different this year. I feel like I make the same ones every year (you know, posting on the blog more, losing weight, etc.), but I never seem to fulfill them. Instead, in 2019, I decided I’m going to focus on photography.
It’s Fall Y’all
Even though it’s technically been fall for awhile now, it’s just now starting to feel less like summer and more like fall around here and I am loving it! I figured now would be a good time to recap September and October before it’s suddenly December and I can’t remember what actually happened in “fall” (yes, I know fall isn’t over, but everyone knows there’s typically a fine line between it finally feeling like fall and winter arriving, uninvited, entirely way too early).
6 Months Old
Y’all, Hudson is officially 6 months old (okay, okay, he’s been 6 months old for a couple of weeks now, but I’m just now getting around to this)! How in the world did that happen? Wasn’t it just February? These past 6 months have simultaneously flown by and, at points, crawled (I’m looking at you months 2-3). My baby is seeming less and less like a baby each day, and while part of my mama heart is sad, the other is a whole lot of happy. My son has so much personality now and I don’t want to wish away time, but I can’t wait to see more of it.
Top 10 Tuesday
Now that my son is almost 6 months old, I’m basically a pro at motherhood, right?? Okay, obviously not, but I have learned a few things along the way so far, so I thought I’d share my top 10 with you (though there are quite a few more), in no particular order.
Hudson
I’m finally feeling inspired to blog again after a long hiatus. Life has definitely seen its ups and downs in the last 7 months, and I’ve cried many tears of both sadness and joy. I won’t update you on all that has happened, but I will tell you that I gave birth to my handsome little boy, Hudson, almost 5 months ago, just 6 weeks after my dad passed away. I decided to share the story of his birth to start this blog off again.
